Frequently asked questions
HOW TO START WORKING WITH NEXT MUSIC?
If you would like to start working with us, please contact us using the contact form on our website. We will get back to you within a few days of receiving your enquiry. You can also send an e-mail to kontakt@nextmusic.pl. In your e-mail, please provide as many details as possible about yourself and your work, and let us know what services you are interested in.
WHAT DOES THE AGREEMENT WITH NEXT MUSIC LOOK LIKE?
In the field of digital distribution, we cooperate on the basis of a licence agreement. The agreement is signed for an indefinite period, with a six-month notice period. We settle accounts on the basis of a percentage share of the generated revenue. We do not charge any additional fees – monthly, annual or related to the development of materials. The licence may be granted to us by a natural person or a company.
In the case of phonographic, booking and management agreements, the scope and terms of cooperation, as well as settlements, are always a matter of individual arrangements.
Can I transfer my tracks from another distributor to NEXT MUSIC without losing my Spotify statistics?
Of course. In this case, we need to receive the same materials and deliver them again, and then the previous distributor must withdraw them. In order to maintain statistics on Spotify, we need to receive the same ISRC and UPC codes that have already been assigned to the song/album.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY CONTENT IF I DECIDE TO TERMINATE THE AGREEMENT?
If we terminate our digital distribution partnership, your content will be removed from the services at 23:59:59 on the day the notice period expires.
DOES NEXT MUSIC WORK WITH EVERYONE?
We analyse each application individually – we do not cooperate with everyone who applies to us. Thanks to our carefully selected list, we are able to provide our clients with high-quality services tailored to their needs and career stage.
Will my YouTube channel be added to the NEXT MUSIC music network?
We analyse each application individually, and not every channel is included in this cooperation. We analyse, among other things, the number of subscriptions, the frequency of published materials, the presence of third-party claims, and the content and subject matter. Do not worry if your channel is not included in our network: you will still receive support from us in the form of an audit and optimisation tips. We will protect all content received from you in the Content ID copyright protection system, regardless of whether we include your channel in the network.
HOW DO I DELIVER MY CONTENT TO NEXT MUSIC?
We accept various methods of submitting materials to us: via FTP, a link to a drive, or via direct upload in the customer panel, to which the customer will receive a login and password.
HOW LONG BEFORE THE PREMIERE ON DIGITAL SERVICES DO I NEED TO DELIVER THE MATERIALS?
We recommend delivering a complete set of materials for distribution at least three weeks before the planned release date (the complete set of materials includes the final master, cover art, and required metadata). Shortening this deadline limits possible promotional activities and the use of algorithms supporting releases. These deadlines allow us to meet the requirements of all services regarding content delivery and editing deadlines. In accordance with Spotify's Service Level Guideline, the service does not guarantee the publication of new material if it is not delivered to the platform at least 5 working days before the planned release date, and does not guarantee the updating or withdrawal of content if the relevant action is not taken by the distributor at least 2 working days before the scheduled date.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIRED PARAMETERS FOR THE MATERIALS I NEED TO PROVIDE?
Audio: lossless WAV file, at least 16-bit, preferably 24-bit/96kHz. Cover art: 3000x3000px in .jpg or .png format. Clip: mov or MP4. Clip thumbnail: 1902x1080px in .jpg or .png format.
WILL NEXT MUSIC GENERATE AN EAN CODE FOR MY PRODUCT?
The EAN code is a unique code for each single and album, equivalent to a barcode. If you do not have your own code, we will assign one to you automatically (free of charge).
WILL NEXT MUSIC GENERATE AN ISRC CODE FOR MY RECORDINGS?
The ISRC code is a unique code for each recording. Each version of a recording (e.g. radio edit, live, etc.) should have its own unique ISRC code. The ISRC is generally assigned by the first owner of the rights to the recording or the current owner of those rights, unless it has been assigned previously. The basis for obtaining an ISRC code is to submit an appropriate application to ZPAV. The application should be submitted by the entity that holds the rights of the phonogram producer within the meaning of Article 94(3) of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights, i.e. – to put it simply – the owner of the rights to the recording (usually a record label/company, sometimes directly the artist or band). If you do not have a code, we can assign an ISRC code to your recordings. For more information, please visit: http://dfm.zpav.pl/kodisrc.php
HOW DOES NEXT MUSIC REPORT SALES AND MAKE PAYMENTS FOR DIGITAL SALES?
We provide monthly sales reports. The reports contain all relevant data: unit rates, services, distribution countries, sales models, number of streams/downloads, titles, artists. We provide the first report approximately two months after the first recording is released for distribution – this is due to the way we report to us. In the case of licences from companies, we make payments within 30 days of receiving a correctly issued invoice for the amount stated in the report. In the case of licences from individuals, we always make payments on the 15th of the month, and the minimum payment amount is PLN 200.
WILL MY SONGS BE INCLUDED IN PLAYLISTS ON STREAMING SERVICES THANKS TO MY COOPERATION WITH NEXT MUSIC?
We pitch songs for playlists and are in constant contact with editors, but we cannot guarantee inclusion on playlists. This is influenced by many variables and is not a guaranteed promotional service.
WHAT PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOES NEXT MUSIC OFFER? IF I SIGN A CONTRACT WITH NEXT MUSIC, AM I GUARANTEED PROMOTION IN THE AGORA S.A. GROUP MEDIA?
If we have the appropriate materials (press info, photos) and the content is provided to us well in advance, we recommend tracks for playlists, send newsletters to the media, and send tracks to radio stations. We co-create campaigns on TikTok and support selected projects through campaigns on Google Ads, Insta Ads, and Facebook Ads.
We take care of artists' profiles and provide communication tips. Agora's media (press, online, outdoor, radio) operate independently of us, and any promotional activities using these media are not guaranteed.
WHAT IS "ARTIFICIAL STREAMING" AND WHAT ARE ITS CONSEQUENCES?
‘Artificial streaming’ refers to any traffic generated artificially on your content (by digital bots, scripts, ‘click farms’, payments for inclusion in playlists, etc.). Such fake streams do not reflect the user's actual listening intentions, they are manipulation and bad promotional practice, which we do not support, do not recommend, and warn against. Artificially inflating streams has serious consequences and can greatly harm your content, profile, and hard work. Streaming services are constantly working to identify streaming fraud and are implementing mechanisms to prevent it.
Spotify takes great care to prevent fraud and unfair practices. If such practices are detected on this platform, artificially generated streams will be reversed, no royalties will be paid for them, and there is also a risk of complete removal of the catalogue from Spotify. What is more, as a distributor, we will be charged for the costs of such manipulation on tracks where such blatant artificial traffic is detected.

Spotify Support – Third-party services that guarantee streams
Spotify's policy aims to limit and eliminate unfair players from the market. Agora Digital Music also wants to support honest artists, so any case of artificial traffic detected and reported to us will be immediately reported and thoroughly analysed.
REMEMBER!
- Do not pay for a service that offers more streams
- Do not pay for a service that offers more followers
- Do not pay for a service that guarantees presence on unofficial playlists
By using such services, your recordings will be driven by fake streams, you will not gain real plays or listeners; your profile will be scrutinised by Spotify, you will not receive any remuneration for it, your catalogue may be removed, and you may face a financial penalty for such practices.
We guarantee that the above-mentioned penalties will not affect honest artists who have nothing to do with this practice.
Please contact us whenever you notice suspicious traffic on your content on Spotify that is not caused by your activity – we will check everything thoroughly and, if we notice controversial sources of streams, we will forward the information to the appropriate department so that they can take note of the situation.
